Roaming the skies after day, searching for souls to take away

Chandelure
''Chandelure sucks spirits out of living creatures then burns these spirits. Chandelure hypnotize victims by waving the flames on its arms.''

''It absorbs a spirit, which it then burns. By waving the flames on its arms, it puts its foes into a hypnotic trance. Being consumed in Chandelure's flame burns up the spirit, leaving the body behind. The spirits burned up in its ominous flame lose their way and wander this world forever.''

''Chandelure is a combination of Hitodama (a blue, black, or purple-fire associated with ghosts and yōkai, equivalent to the western will-o'-the-wisp) and a chandelier.''

I decided to do another haloween-ish piece. I have been intrigued by Chandelure's design and background story from the beginning (: And I just love that cold pokerface-like expression on their faces. It makes them even more creepier looking somehow. Next to that I was listening to a couple of macabre tracks in my playlist and then this idea popped up :] I imagined them floating in large numbers in the sky towards villages and cities when the sun goes down. I sort of got the inspiration from the lantern festival they hold in Thailand with all the lanterns rising into the night sky.

I got some inspiration from these tracks, they are originally used in a theme park they have got here in the Netherlands. But I thought they suited the mood and scene very well (;
